They vary in size and thickness. We use the thinnest gauge and 1-1.5 cm in length. Rule of thumb only half of the needle length is inserted.

Acupuncture needles are thin which makes their insertion practically painless. Our Acupuncturist is very skilled at making the treatment very relaxing, in fact, most patients fall asleep during the treatment.

Depends on the severity of the condition, you may need only a single treatment for an acute condition, a set of 5-15 treatment may resolve many chronic conditions. Some degenerative conditions may require many treatments over time. Your practitioner may suggest dietary modification, specific exercise routine, and self-massage.

When performed by a competently trained, licensed professional, Acupuncture is extremely safe. All licensed Acupuncturist today use individually packaged, sterile disposable needles, so there’s virtually no chance of infection or contagion.

Billing

Many insurance companies are now paying for acupuncture treatments. Because each insurance company has different restrictions, it is best to consult with your insurance provider to determine if your treatments will be covered. We accept most insurances.

Direct billing is also available.

 

Facial Acupuncture

Improvements are noticed within a couple of treatments, the effect of Facial Acupuncture is accumulative. Once you begin the course of treatment it is important to follow through with each session. the closer the sessions and the more consistent the better the result.

Within a couple of treatments, you should see some results.  Although continuing with course of treatments is essential for desired results.

Herbal Prescription

With proper diagnosis and proper usage, herbal formulas are safe to use. All of our formulas are mild and have a gentle effect.

Herbal formulas are an essential modality in Chinese medicine. many imbalances of the body can be addressed with herbal formulas, especially the tonic type of formulas the help address deficiencies.

You will be instructed and given a pamphlet on how to use the formulas. Everyone’s needs are different, therefore no one formula fits all.
